The mission of Mary's Ward – a community of seekers sharing the triple aspiration to promote light, love, and life – is to infuse the world with love of the Divine by creating and maintaining Marian ​Maternal Cities and Enclaves subsisting in shared time and space (physical and virtual) for the purpose​ of self-development, mutual encouragement, accompaniment, protection, safety, education, and travel on the spiritual path, by gathering, by reliance on God's Providence (and Mother's) through farming, gardening, careful stewardship of creation, salvage of society's waste, shared entrepreneurial endeavors, free progress education, engagement in the arts and all vocations, embodiment of truth, advocacy for justice, witness to peace and unity in diversity
and by never abandoning the search for God and the building of God’s kingdom here on earth, Sri Aurobindo’s Life Divine. We choose Mary and The Mother as our models of self-surrender and strength.  As the mother of Jesus, Mary was overshadowed by the Spirit, participated in the sacrifice, led the community in the first novena, and continues to care for her children since leaving earthly life.  The Mother, herself an accomplished yogi and avatar, demonstrated unfailing surrender to The Divine. Both women pointed away from themselves, exclusively to The Divine. Do whatever He tells you. – Blessed Mother. To do what the Divine wants us to do is the only thing valid. – The Mother
